The pack called TIW 2v2 ND is the one without dodgeball and the pack called TIW 2v2 is the one with it. If there are any isses let me know

Ok guys after quite alot of discussion not only from the forum but also with those who ive spoke with when online im pleased to announce the TIW 2v2 Challenge Tournament.

How it will work is each team will take turns picking maps from the list below and if the score is level after the home maps are played then we have a random decider from the packs Barry is creating based on the below. There will be 2 packs one will include dodgeball and the other won't. The one that has dodgeball will be used for the tournament and the other can be used for practice (I will explain the reason why below).

Maps

Bloods in the pack:

Gwarz x 1
Radical x 1
Veteran x 1
Archer Blood x 1
Khans x 1
Graves x 1
Hero Fest x 1
Smosh x 1
Desert x 1
Nova x 1


Alternative Maps:

Lustful x 2
Dodgeball (Both versions of dodge x1)



CB Maps:

CBA x 3
RCB x 2
CBA Hero x 5



When it is your home pick you get to decide the civs and spots though of course the spots must be fair so for example in the case of a CB pick you must pick spots 1212. If you pick your home map first then you won't be the host for the random decider. Spots for the random decider must be fair as well as mirror civs so it might be a case of reseting and just picking the map that came up in the decider. For most of the maps and correct me which ones im wrong with its advisable to start with 1212 spots.

For example if the random decider is dodgeball then the game needs to be reset with correct civs and spots picked. The reason its not included in the practice pack is so people can practice with a bit more ease.

I may include other maps to a list of maps that need reset and spots fixed once im fully aware of which maps need different spots.

To start with the tournament will be based on a bo3 basis though and depending on numbers that might increase to bo5 so just be aware. That decision will be based on the day judged on how long its taking to complete along with how many teams we get playing.

Maps that require a reset:

RCB - Players must go back and put on the RCB Fair mod for the game

CBA/CBA Hero - In the event spots arent fair players need to go back and fix fair spots and mirror the civs used from the hosts team unless both agree otherwise. If they don't agree then they must just copy hosts team spots no questions asked. Players cannot switch civs.

Dodgeball - Players must go back and pick the correct civ and spots.

Desert - Players must go back and pick spots player 1, player 2 v player 3, player 4 unless both agree to play as the spots are.


Vetos

There is no vetos


Recorded Games

All games of match links must be posted in the relevant recorded game section


Third Party Tools

The use of any third party tool is prohibited. Examples are, but not limited to: Modified game files, syncers, crashers, network throttling devices (purposely lagging programs), and other such tools. Violation of this rule will not only result in disqualification from tournament, but termination/punishment as the Voobly staff team seems fit.


Dropping

Dropping will be determined based on current game state:
If the winner dropped, then the match will be replayed.
If the game is still undecided at time of drop, match will be replayed.
If the loser is dropping (and it's clear he's losing), then the other person/team will be given the win


Misc

All aspects, plus others not listed, will be analyzed before making a decision by tournament runners and others as they see fit.

You may only play on your account, and may only enter the tournament with one account. This also includes playing for someone else on their account if theyve played the games they are allowed to play. Anybody caught playing on someone elses account when they shouldnt will give there team an auto loss and may result in further punishment as in both players banned from playing in the rest of the tournament.

Any use of a map bug, known or not known, will result in disqualification from the tournament. You have been warned.

Any rule can be added/modified at any time as seen fit by the ones running the tournament. This rule exists to stop and punish potential exploitation of loopholes in current rules.

Spawn glitching is not allowed

Lock Speed/Teams
Victory: Standard
Reveal Map: Explored

It is YOUR DUTY to make sure game settings are set correctly. If they are not, and host refuses to change them to the correct setting, please contact a Voobly tournament mod.

Actually celts spawn in p1 and p2 in = V = CBA Hero v15 are bugged btw

How often does it happen? Is it something specific players do? How can it be fixed and what rule set could be introduced to counter it?

Well I don't know the exact motive about why does it happens, but it's like double or even x3 faster spawn, even if both players go p1 vs p2 it can change the gameplay with that fast spawn (trap would be worth and fight wouldn't be big deal if you lose by freeze or something)

and it just happens when you lose pop too fast or that's what I've seen

Tbh ban celts from p1 and p2 and test if it happens with others civs (Btw If i don't remember bad, in v13 mongs spawn in p2 was 10 seconds, while in p1 it was 9 seconds or something like that)

Can this be fixed? A bit surprised it hasnt been to date, never knew about it. I can see why it can be an issue especially in 1v1 does it happen often?

well I can check p1 and p2 triggers and compare it with the others so i can see what's wrong (with aoKTS)

Also just to add and while this isnt a sign up thread I just want to make it clear that you don't have to team up with a clan mate to enter the tournament. I also want to say thanks but no thanks to all those who have asked me to team them so far. I am hosting so wont be playing :)

Yeah it happens fairly often, and i'm not sure why it happens.

As javi said, best thing to do is just not have celt at p1 or p2
